There will be no Homeschool Choir rehearsal on Good Friday, April 3, 2015.

This choir is designed to give young singers a choral ensemble experience that will introduce them to

the following musical and historical concepts found in traditional American folk music.

Concepts will include:
Vocal technique – pitch matching, breathing fundamentals, healthy pitch production
Reading and following a choral score
Harmonizing (as is appropriate to age range) – introduction to solfege singing, experimentation with texture including unison, canon,

partner songs, and 2 part singing
Ensemble singing including concepts of blend and balance
Historical, cultural, and musical significance of literature
Performance opportunity to demonstrate skills gained and support our senior community
