Cantate Musica is composed of approximately 50 young singers, grades 5-9, from all over northeast Ohio. These auditioned singers build performance and music reading skills as well as build healthy vocal production during their voice change years. Sight reading instruction is part of the weekly rehearsal.
Each year, these singers perform the National Anthem at the Indians game and are the guest choir at the Oberlin Choristers Children's Honor Choir. In addition to those performances, this choir performs at 3 professionally produced concerts each season.
Singers must complete a low-risk, comfortable voice evaluation for placement in this choir. Please click on the "audition" tab to reqest an evaluation.
Please note - this information is current for our 2019-20 season.
